"I create from a place of hopefulness. From a belief that there is always something more beyond a first glance. The surface is not the full story of a life.
Through my work, I navigate concepts of community, our shared humanity and the depths that can be found when we dig below the surface of ourselves. Using juxtaposing, tufted texture and gestural shapes, I carve out swirling arrays of color and movement, revealing the hidden facets that lie beneath."
