Her practice is inspired by themes of memory, personal history, and shared experience. She reflects on these themes through the process of painting and her work ultimately becomes formal studies of composition, color, line, and texture.

Hannah Surace is an artist and educator based in Central North Carolina. Hannah’s work has been exhibited in various galleries and museums in the United States including Sulfur Studios in Savannah, Georgia and The Museum of Contemporary Art in Atlanta, Georgia. She holds an MFA in Sculpture from The Savannah College of Art and Design.
